Peugeot 106 Diesel Filled With Petrol

We were called today by a frantic driver who had a Peugeot 106 diesel filled with petrol. The vehicle had been recovered to a workshop in Newport and they had tried to get the fuel out with no luck. Help Wrong Fuel to the rescue.

Our client noticed that the little Peugeot was starting to cough and splutter a few days after being refuelled so they called Help Wrong Fuel for free advice as they were worried that they had damaged the engine. Our expert technical advisor informed the client that they should not have caused major damage as long as they have not repeatedly tried to top up the fuel tank to dilute the wrong fuel.

Breakdown Recovery

The breakdown recovery company had visited the vehicle at the clients home and could not get the car started. They decided to recover the vehicle to their workshop to drain the wrong fuel. They tried for nearly 2 hours to get the wrong fuel out of the fuel tank but in the end gave up. It was then when they told the owner of the vehicle that they needed to find an expert misfuel company.

Wrong Fuel Drain Insurance Company

Our clients had already informed their insurance company that they had possibly filled the little car with the wrong fuel. The insurance company explained that the do not cover you if you have put the wrong fuel in and that the car would need to have extensive repairs. This was completely untrue, once on scene our fuel drain expert had this little Peugeot 106 drained, flushed and running again within 25 minutes!

If you misfuel your vehicle, don’t call your insurance company. They are ALWAYS more expensive than calling us directly and will usually not be able to attend the vehicle as fast as we can. In most instances, the insurance company may even say that this will affect your no claims bonus too!

If you put the wrong fuel in your car, call Help Wrong Fuel on 0333 666 8685 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
